Manville Men

In case you all were wondering why out hall in South Quad was named "Taylor" here's a fun fact for you on it's origin:

"Frederick Manville Taylor was a professor of economics and author of the textbook "Principles of Economics," the standard since 1911. He retired in 1929 after a Michigan career of 37 years."

Imagine if they had used his middle name. Instead of "Taylor Boys" we could have been "Manville Men."

  1. speaking of memories from south quad here's a story. do you remember that RA that lived above taylor that was friends with Sonday and who we would always try and challenge to stuff? I think his name was John. Anyways, I saw him yesterday working in the same pit (means trading the same product) as my firm. I'm sure its only a matter of time before I bump into him. what are the chances of that?
